Joe Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is a licensed real estate broker in both California and Hawaii and is a USGBC LEED Green Associate.
Since 2009, Joe has led the entitlement and development of a diverse range of projects across California and Hawaii, including over 50 acres of commercial land, 600 single-family residential lots, and over 1,000 multifamily units.
As President of Pacific Development Group, Joe is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process—from project due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to securing construction and permanent financing. He also manages recapitalizations and re-syndications of multifamily assets using tax credits and limited partner equity, and plays a hands-on role in architectural and interior design direction, green building implementation, construction management, and long-term property operations.
David is the Executive Director of Pacific Development Group and brings over 40 years of experience in Real Estate Development, Construction, and Investment. He initiated the development and construction of over 3500 affordable apartment units throughout California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Hawaii utilizing funding from HUD, USDA, and LIHTC. David is skilled in facilitating, leading, and managing small operations and transforming them into large profitable entities. With expertise in partnering with private, public, local, and state government lenders and agencies, and bridging them with contractors and developers he has the ability to grow and develop multifamily, affordable, senior assisted living, and congregate care properties.
Born in 1919, J.D. Michael graduated Santa Clara University in the Class of 1943, and then joined the US Navy. After a tour in the Philippines Campaign, J.D. returned to Santa Clara University for Law School and graduated with the Class of 1948. He began his career as a licensed attorney practicing law in the courts of California and the Supreme Court. In 1969, after 20 years practicing law, J.D. founded Professional Apartment Management, Inc (PAM) and grew it into a company of over 350 employees and specialized in real estate development, property management, and construction. At the time of his retirement, J.D. had developed over 3,000 units of subsidized and non-subsidized multifamily housing, senior citizens housing facilities, convalescent hospitals, retirement and assisted living facilities.
